Each of the three new ETFs are composed of seven low-cost core Vanguard index ETFs and aim to provide a complete asset allocation portfolio solution to investors.

These actively managed portfolios are monitored daily and rebalanced regularly. They are among the lowest-cost in their categories with management fees of 0.22% each.

“Investors and advisors are looking for simple yet sophisticated single-ticket investment solutions that provide well-diversified global equity and bond exposure within a low-cost ETF structure,” said Atul Tiwari, managing director, Vanguard Investments Canada.

Vanguard Conservative ETF Portfolio (VCNS CN) provides a combination of income and moderate long-term capital growth by investing in equity and fixed income securities with a strategic allocation of 40% equities and 60% fixed income.

The Vanguard Balanced ETF Portfolio (VBAL CN) provides long-term capital growth with a moderate level of income by investing in equity and fixed income securities with a strategic allocation of 60% equities and 40% fixed income.

The Vanguard Growth ETF Portfolio (VGRO CN) provides long-term capital growth by investing in equity and fixed income securities with a strategic allocation of 80% equities and 20% fixed income.

The three ETFs bring the total number of Vanguard ETFs in Canada to 36, with about $14 billion (CAD) in assets under management.
