Lyxor launches new ‘Core’ ETF range, with fees as low as 4bps

Lyxor has launched a new range of ‘Core’ ETFs with total expense ratios starting from just 4 basis points. The range is composed of 16 ETFs covering the major equity markets as well as gilts and TIPS on the fixed income side. Four new ETFs have been launched to complement 12 existing, re-badged ETFs whose fees have been cut. Arnaud Llinas, head of ETFs and indexing at Lyxor, said, “Investors tell us they want simple, high quality ETFs at low costs. We’ve launched our Core range to achieve precisely that.”

Active equity managers in Europe have taken a beating in the past decade, overwhelmingly failing to outperform their benchmark indices over the last ten years, according to the latest S&P Indices Versus Active (SPIVA) Scorecard. The results support the ongoing argument that passive funds, such as index-tracking ETFs, pack a better punch than their actively managed counterparts.

Expat lists four EM Europe ETFs on Deutsche Börse

Bulgaria-based investment manager Expat Asset Management has cross-listed four new emerging market ETFs on Deutsche Börse, providing exposure to Southern, Central and Eastern European equity markets. The ETFs, which are already available on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, track the largest and most liquid companies in the Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, and Greece.

Investors ditch US equity ETPs in February amid market sell-off, finds BlackRock

Net inflows into ETPs globally slowed to $6.8 billion in February as investors shed products providing exposure to US equities to the tune of $23.0bn, according to the latest ETP Landscape report from BlackRock. Redemptions for US equity ETPs during the month marked a turnaround for the asset class which had achieved cumulative inflows of $122.5bn over the prior four months.

Trading activity on Tradeweb’s European ETF marketplace reached a record-breaking €24 billion in February, up 20% from the previous record of €20bn set in January 2018. UBS cross-lists gender ETF onto the Borsa Italiana

UBS has cross-listed its global gender equality ETF onto Borsa Italiana. The share class available on the Italian exchange is hedged to EUR and listed under the ticker code GENDEE IM. The UBS Global Gender Equality UCITS ETF launched in December 2017 and has since accumulated $44m assets under management.
