UBS Asset Management has launched the UBS JP Morgan USD EM Diversified Bond 1-5 UCITS ETF (SEMC LN), providing exposure to short-term emerging market debt from sovereign, quasi-sovereign, and corporate issuers. Simone Rosti, head of passive & ETF specialist sales Europe at UBS Asset Management, said: “With this launch, UBS is reinforcing its fixed income product suite by offering investors the opportunity to invest in this distinct asset class.”

ETFs in Europe hit €620bn in AUM, reports Thomson Reuters

Assets under management (AUM) of ETFs domiciled in Europe reached €622 billion at the end of October, up from €601bn the previous month, according to Thomson Reuters. October saw the addition of €6.6bn in net new assets, meaning the majority of the €20.9bn AUM gain was due to the performance of underlying markets.

Invesco has launched three PowerShares-branded fixed income ETFs in Europe. The funds track Bloomberg Barclays indices and provide exposure to bonds from USD-denominated corporates, EUR-denominated corporates, and emerging market sovereigns. Virtus launches emerging markets multi-factor ETF

Virtus ETF solutions has launched the Virtus Glovista Emerging Markets ETF (EMEM US) on the NYSE Arca. The fund uses a quantitative multi-factor strategy to provide exposure to ‘favoured’ emerging markets.
