Deutsche Asset Management has announced that it is renaming its range of US-listed ETFs to Xtrackers to harmonise the fund names with the recent changes to European and Asian ETFs and ETCs.

Deutsche’s US ETFs renamed Xtrackers

Fiona Bassett, head of passive asset management in the Americas for Deutsche Asset Management.

Fiona Bassett, head of passive asset management, Americas, Deutsche Asset Management, commented: “As an asset manager with deep roots in Europe, it was important for our global businesses to align to better capitalize on our truly global reach.

“In the US, investors turn to Xtrackers for trailblazing products such as our China A-shares suite and the most cost efficient high-yield ETF in the US market – HYLB. The new branding will further support a more unified and distinctive product suite worldwide.”

Deutsche offers 35 ETFs in the US, which together have over $12.5 billion in assets under management (AUM). The largest is the Xtrackers MSCI EAFE Hedged Equity ETF (NYSE Arca: DBEF) which has $7.0bn in AUM with a TER of 0.08%.

The new branding took effect on October 2, 2017 and will ETF names and marketing materials, but will not impact the name of the trust entity nor its investment adviser.
