Date
Thursday 15th October 2015

Description
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural China Briefing, this year’s event has been expanded (both in terms of delegate numbers and event duration) to reflect the huge interest and overwhelming demand from delegates, the more extensive product offering now available to investors and the evolving importance and complexity of investing in China.

The event will be composed of a series of presentations, panel sessions and networking opportunities. Subject matter will be dedicated to China, with a focus on ETFs (including China A-share ETFs, renminbi-denominated bond ETFs, renminbi currency ETPs and commodity ETPs) and related China indexing and ETF trading and liquidity topics, with additional coverage of China macroeconomics and investment strategy.

The agenda will be unveiled shortly, but will include a keynote presentation from Diana Choyleva, Chief Economist & Head of Research at Lombard Street Research. Diana is a highly influential China economist and strategist who topped a poll of fund managers for being the most “investable”, in the sense that her ideas and insight can be translated into actionable investment decisions.

Venue
The briefing will be held at Shangri-La at The Shard, a five-star hotel within London’s iconic Shard skyscraper, Western Europe’s tallest building. As part of the China-based Shangri-La Group, the hotel provides a befitting environment for our China-focused event. The event itself will be held in the hotel’s dedicated event suite with floor-to-ceiling windows offering impressive views of the River Thames and City of London.

Target audience
The briefing is aimed at the higher end of the investment management spectrum, namely front-office staff (e.g. portfolio/fund managers, traders, research analysts and investment strategists) from institutional fund management firms, hedge funds, family offices, DFMs, private banks and private client wealth managers. Representatives from non-partner ETF issuers, index providers, MM/APs and vendors will be restricted.
