Morgan Stanley’s Fundlogic launches five equity smart beta ETFs

ERI Scientific Beta, an affiliate of the EDHEC-Risk Institute, and Fundlogic, the ETF platform of investment bank Morgan Stanley, have partnered to launch five smart beta ETFs on the London Stock Exchange. The ETFs provide factor-based equity exposure to the US, Japan, developed Asia-Pacific ex-Japan, developed Europe, and emerging markets.

Lyxor cross-lists Euro Stoxx Banks ETF on Deutsche Börse

Lyxor has cross-listed the Lyxor Euro Stoxx Banks UCITS ETF (LYBK FP) on Deutsche Börse’s Xetra and Frankfurt exchanges, offering investors targeted equity exposure to the euro area’s largest banks. The ETF is based on the Euro Stoxx Banks Index, a sub-index of the Euro Stoxx Index, and currently tracks 26 companies from eight euro area countries.

Bulgarian ETF issuer Expat Asset Management has launched its first ETF on Deutsche Börse – the Expat Bulgaria SOFIX UCITS ETF (BGX GR) – providing exposure to the most liquid equities on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. Nicola Yankov, chairman of the board of directors of Expat Asset Management, said the ETF “represents a unique market proposition which provides access to country-specific exposure for international investors”.

UBS Asset Management has launched the UBS Global Gender Equality UCITS ETF (GENDER SW) on SIX Swiss Exchange, providing exposure to global companies leading the field in terms of gender equality. UBS Asset Management has expanded its socially responsible ETF suite on the London Stock Exchange with two new listings offering GBP- and USD-hedged exposure to the all-country world MSCI ACWI SRI 5% Issuer Capped Index. Simone Rosti, head of passive & ETF sales Europe at UBS Asset Management, said: “With these listings, clients can increase their exposure to ESG-screened large and mid-cap stocks across both developed and emerging markets. Clients can also benefit from our currency-hedging product, which has enjoyed significant net inflows in the year to date.”

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has teamed up with Kensho Technologies for the launch of three ETFs on NYSE Arca designed to provide investors with access to companies driving innovation in three so-called ‘new economy’ industries – intelligent structures, smart mobility, and future security. Nick Good, co-head of the global SPDR business at SSGA, said investors could use the ETFs to “make targeted allocations providing exposure to the firms behind the emerging trends that are reshaping our economy, and very way of life.”
