VanEck Europe has launched the VanEck Vectors Global Mining UCITS ETF (GDIG LN) on the London Stock Exchange, providing access to firms around the world which are operating in the mining industry. The new offering complements the firm’s existing portfolio of ETFs which includes funds tracking the global gold mining sector.

Morningstar reports strong growth in ETF Managed Portfolios AUM

Investment research firm Morningstar has published the latest instalment of its ETF Managed Portfolios Landscape Report. The report, which covers the fourth-quarter of 2017, found that total AUM in the ETF managed portfolios segment increased by 7.0%, to $123.0 billion. Charles Schwab Investment Advisory holds the top spot with over $12.4bn in AUM across 15 strategies.

Sub-advised by Schroder Investment Management North America, the actively managed ETF targets strong after-tax returns by investing in a diversified portfolio of taxable and tax-exempt bonds. BlackRock has introduced two new currency-hedged share classes for two of its high yield corporate bond ETFs listed on Deutsche Börse. The funds offer exposure to US dollar-denominated corporate bonds and global fallen angel bonds, while the new share classes mitigate exchange rate risk relative to the euro.



DWS cuts fees on euro cash and US Treasury ETFs

DWS has reduced the fees charged on five of its Xtrackers-branded ETFs. The funds include four US Treasury ETFs and a euro cash deposit rate tracker.

“We are making our US Treasuries and EUR cash offering even more attractive for our clients at a time when, particularly with increased volatility, investors are trading more fixed income exposures using ETFs,” said Blanca Koenig, fixed income strategist at DWS.
