HSBC launches Saudi Arabia ETF

FTSE Russell has launched the FTSE Saudi Arabia Inclusion Index Series, a comprehensive suite of indices designed in response to regional growth and the partial opening of the country’s capital markets. The index series has been constructed to be suitable for index-linked investment products, such as ETFs, and includes three sets of indices at the country, regional, and global level.

BlackRock adds international equity ETF to Paris-aligned suite

S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) has begun publishing carbon metrics on the majority of its equity indices, including the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average. The initiative aims to support ESG transparency, enabling market participants to understand, measure and manage carbon risk.


Vanguard launches Euro Stoxx 50 ETF

Vanguard has expanded its suite of UCITS ETFs to 23 with the launch of the Vanguard Euro Stoxx 50 UCITS ETF (VX5E). The ETF provides equity exposure to megacap stocks in the eurozone. Robyn Laidlaw, UK head of distribution at Vanguard, commented: “We continue to expand our range of ETFs in the UK and Europe, always with the aim of meeting the evolving needs of investors.”


USAA launches six debut ETFs

The United Services Automobile Association (USAA) has become the latest new ETF issuer with the launch of six ETFs on NYSE Arca. Four of the ETFs track smart beta equity indices while two are actively managed fixed income strategies.


Vanguard cross-lists entire UCITS ETF range on Deutsche Börse

Vanguard has expanded its offering in Germany after cross-listing its entire range of European-domiciled ETFs on Deutsche Börse. The suite of 23 ETFs includes 13 market-cap weighted equity funds, six fixed income funds and four smart beta equity funds. Sean Hagerty, head of Europe at Vanguard, commented, “We are very excited to be bringing our value proposition to Germany.”


Deutsche unveils low-cost international equity ETF suite in US

DWS lists international and EM ESG ETFs on NYSE

Deutsche Asset Management has unveiled a low-cost suite of US-listed ETFs designed to offer investors access to various segments of the international (ex-US) equity market. Fiona Bassett, head of passive asset management in the Americas, commented: “Our European heritage mean that we are well-positioned to bring meaningful efficiencies and cost savings to US investors for these exposures.”


Horizons launches actively managed international dividend ETF

Horizons launches Canada’s first robotics ETF

Horizons ETFs has launched the Horizons Active Intl Developed Markets Equity ETF (HADM), an actively managed ETF providing exposure to international dividend-paying stocks. Steve Hawkins, president and co-CEO of Horizons ETFs, commented: “Now that Canadians are so aggressively investing outside of Canada using ETFs, we felt it was very important to give them access to an active ETF strategy, focusing on dividend stocks in the EAFE regions.”
