Guggenheim changes name of actively managed $1bn enhanced short duration ETF

Guggenheim Investments has changed the name of the Guggenheim Enhanced Short Duration ETF to the Guggenheim Ultra Short Duration ETF. The actively managed fund, which has over $1.1 billion in assets under management, will keep its ticker symbol (NYSE Arca: GSY). William H. Belden, managing director and head of ETF business development for Guggenheim Investments, said: “GSY can be used for tactical cash positions to deliver potentially greater return than cash as well as liquidity for non-immediate needs.”


Lyxor launches two multi-factor income ETFs

Lyxor has launched two new multi-factor smart beta ETFs, providing exposure to US and UK equities, that give investors exposure to the quality, low volatility and high dividend factors. Each fund has a total expense ratio of 0.19%, pricing the funds as some of the lowest cost income-based ETF strategies available in Europe. Adam Laird, head of ETF strategy, Northern Europe, Lyxor, commented: “Particularly in this environment of low yields, the lower charges on ETFs mean more of the dividend goes to the investor.”

BlackRock launches Europe’s first euro emerging markets bond ETF

New York-based investment manager TrimTabs Asset Management has launched the TrimTabs All Cap International Free-Cash-Flow ETF (Bats: TTAI), an actively managed fund investing in non-US developed market stocks that are both generating free cash flow, reducing their share count without the use of leverage, and maintaining healthy balance sheets.


Assets in Europe-listed ETPs reach new record high

ETF industry robust in 2022 despite market challenges

ETFGI has reported that assets invested in ETFs and ETPs listed in Europe have reached a new record high of $682 billion at the end of May 2017, up 3.7% from the $658bn seen at the end of the previous month. The report goes on to say that assets invested in Europe-listed ETFs/ETPs have increased by 19% from $572bn year-to-date.

Deutsche Asset Management has launched the Xtrackers MSCI Emerging Markets Index UCITS ETF (XMME) on London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse. Introduced as part of Deutsche’s ‘core’ range of ETFs – low cost, diversified funds designed to act as foundational building blocks for portfolio construction – the fund comes with a price tag of just 0.20%.
