WisdomTree Canada has introduced non-hedged units of the WisdomTree Europe Hedged Equity Index ETF (Toronto: EHE). EHE provides exposure to dividend-paying European equities while hedging exposure to fluctuations between the euro and the Canadian dollar. The new non-hedged units, (Ticker: EHE.B), will not be hedged back to the Canadian dollar.

First Trust Canada proposes merger of AlphaDEX Dividend and Capital Strength ETFs

First Trust Portfolios Canada has announced that its board of directors has approved a proposal to merge the First Trust AlphaDEX Canadian Dividend ETF (TSX: FDY) into the First Trust Canadian Capital Strength ETF (TSX: FST). A special meeting of unitholders of FDY will be held on 20 September 2017 to consider and vote upon the proposal.



First Trust launches first active FX ETF in Europe

London-based ETF issuer First Trust Global Portfolios has launched the First Trust FactorFX UCITS ETF (LON: FTFX), Europe’s first actively managed exchange-traded fund investing in foreign exchange markets. The ETF will primarily seek to earn alpha through the implementation of multiple carry trades, a strategy which seeks to capitalise on the interest rate differential between various currencies.
